How to Add Relationships to Clients
OverviewThis tutorial will show you how to add relationships between clients and how this can benefit your business by creating a marketing campaign tailored to yourclients based off their relationships. This tutorial assumes you have already setup your relationship types. For instructions on how to create or edit relationship types please see How to Create/EditRelationship Types. One of the things you may want to do with relationships is create a marketing campaign using that information. How to Add a Relationship from an Existing Client to a New ClientPlease note that by default, the new client you create will not have any additional client information such as address, email, phone number, etc. If you would like to add that information, simply click on the Edit button next to the client that you have just created on the Relationships tab and enter their information. It is also important to note that clients that are created from the relationship view are hidden clients by default and will not show in the main client list unless you change the filtering option. If you would like to see the client in the main client list you will need to change the List Options for the newly created client to have a check next to Include Client In Client List. - Go to the Clients component
- Find the client and view their information by double-clicking on their name or clicking on the edit icon
- In the Edit Client window click on the Relationships tab
- The right hand side of this tab shows any relationships that already exist for this client
- The left hand side of this tab is to add new relationships
- Select the relationship type this client has to the new client you will add under the Relationship To Other Client heading
- Since you want to create a new client make sure the New Client option is selected
- Enter in the new client's first and last name
- Click on Add Relationship
- If you do not click the Add Relationship button it will not be added
- The new client will appear on the right side of the screen as a new relationship
- Click the Save button
- If you do not click the Save button then the relationship will not be added
How to Add a Relationship from an Existing Client to an Existing Client- Open and login to StudioCloud
- Go to the Clients component
- Find the client and view their information by double-clicking on their name or clicking on the edit icon
- In the Edit Client window click on the Relationships tab
- The right hand side of this tab shows any relationships that already exist for this client
- The left hand side of this tab is to add new relationships
- Select the relation this client has to other client
- Make sure the Select an Existing Client option is selected
- Click the Select Client button
- This will open the Select Client window that will allow you to search for the client you are looking for
- Once you have found the client select them and click the Save button
- Then click the Add Relationship button
- If you do not click the Add Relationship button it will not be added
- The client will appear on the right side of the screen as a new relationship
- Click the Save button
- If you do not click the Save button then the relationship will not be added
