How to Use The Mobile App
Mobile App Interface
This tutorial explains how to access the mobile apps and use the ios, android, and web based mobile app.
What types of mobile apps are available?StudioCloud offers 3 different types of mobile apps - An app for the iPhone and iPad
- An app for android phones or android tablets
- And a web based app which can be accessed from a phone or computer web browser
- Go to the following link to access the web version StudioCloud.com/m
- The mobile interface requires the use of JavaScript and Cookies. If either of these things are disabled then the mobile app will not function as expected.
Mobile App OverviewThis mobile interface allows you to access the following: - Clients
- Search Clients, View Recent Clients, Create, Edit and Delete Clients
- Calendar
- View a month, week, and day view of the calendar, Create, Edit, and Delete Sessions/Events/Appointments
- Agenda
- Table view of Sessions/Events/Appointments, Create, Edit, and Delete Sessions/Events/Appointments
- Invoices
- View invoices and take credit card payments for invoices.
- Creating and editing invoices from the mobile app is not currently supported.
- Projects
- TimeCard
- (Requires EmployeeBoost Subscription)
- Mileage Tracking
- CloudForms
- (Requires CloudForms Subscription)
Employee Security OptionsStudioCloud supports the following security options listed below. - Employees can be locked out of mobile features entirely based on security roles.
- Employees can be locked out of mobile features entirely based on ip address
- Employees can be locked out of specific mobile features such as Clients, Calendar, Timecard, etc. based on security roles.
Subscription RequirementsThe mobile app requires a paid subscription and is available with all of the paid subscriptions options. Paid subscribers can login to one mobile interface per user account.
Client OverviewHow to Find a ClientClients are not shown in the list of clients until a search has been made. At least 3 letters are required before a search will be conducted. - Select the Menu option
- Select the Clients menu item
- Search for and select the desired client
How to View Recently Modified Clients- Select the Menu option
- Select the Clients menu item
- Select the Recent menu item
- Select the desired client
How to Enter a New Client- Select the Menu option
- Select the Clients menu item
- Select the Actions menu option
- Select the desired type of client to create
How to Edit a Client- Select the Menu option
- Select the Clients menu item
- Search for and select the desired client
- Select the Actions menu option
- Select the Edit menu item
How to Delete a Client- Select the Menu option
- Select the Clients menu item
- Search for and select the desired client
- Select the Actions menu option
- Select the Delete menu item
How to Send an Email to a ClientWhen you send an email through this web interface it will open up the default app on your device for sending emails and should have the subject line and body of the message pre-populated. However, this technology is limited to only support plain text messages so any advanced formatting in the email templates will be discarded. - Select the Menu option
- Select the Clients menu item
- Search for and select the desired client or create a new client
- Select the Actions menu option
- Select the Email menu item
- Select the desired email template
- Once you select the desired template it will open the personalized email in your default email client
