Overview

The Online Proofing Manager uses a resizing algorithm which does have a size limitation. The algorithm only works on images that are smaller than 4096 pixels by 4096 pixels. If the image is larger the Online Proofing Manager has to use the old resizing algorithm which does not deliver as good a quality of image as before.

If you have an image that is bigger than 4096 by 4096 StudioCloud recommends that you use a third party program to resize the image like Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, or Gimp.  Gimp is free image manipulation software that can be downloaded from http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ for Windows or http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/ for Macs.

Options

In order to resolve this issue you can do either of the following options:

1. Resize the images in a third party program and select the do not resize option when uploading them

2. Resize the images in a third party program and select the desired size when uploading and StudioCloud will resize them all to be the same size
