How to Create/Edit Task Templates
OverviewTask templates are tasks designed to be used over and over again without having to reenter the task information. Please note that tasks should
not be used to track the status of a project/order but only the steps
that needed to be accomplished in the project/order. To track the status
of the entire project/order please refer to project pipelines. For additional information on how to create task templates for products, services, or packages please see the following tutorials: How to Create/Edit Task Templates- Open and login to StudioCloud
- Go to the Projects component
- Click on the Settings tab
- Click the Manage Task Templates button in the Project Settings section
- Click the New Task Template button to create a new task template or find the task template you want to edit and click the edit icon
- Select the type of task template that the new task template can be applied to (Calendar, Client, or Product, Service, or Package)
- Please note that the type of task template cannot be edited for a task template once it has been created
- Add a name for the task template
- Optionally specify a description
- Specify the Group that this task template belongs to
- The Task Template Group is what groups together one or more task templates when you create a project from a client, event, or invoice
- Click the Save button
How to Set the Default Priority for a Task TemplateOnce you have created a new task template you can set the default priority for a task template with the following instructions.- Open and login to StudioCloud
- Go to the Projects component
- Click on the Settings tab
- Click the Manage Task Templates button in the Project Settings section
- Find the task template you want to edit
- Click the number of stars that you want the priority to default to
How to Set the Default Assignee for a Task TemplateOnce you have created a new task template you can set the default assignee for a task template with the following instructions.- Open and login to StudioCloud
- Go to the Projects component
- Click on the Settings tab
- Click the Manage Task Templates button in the Project Settings section
- Find the task template you want to edit
- Select the employee that you want as the default from the list of employees in the Assigned To column
