This tutorial provides examples for photographers of how to setup relationships to track their clients

Examples

Photographers have a very relationship based business and StudioCloud is designed to help photographers manage those relationships. One of the first item that needs to occur is for photographers to setup the types of relationships that they are tracking. Depending on your type of business you will probably want to setup your relationships similar to the following

Portrait/Senior Photographer Relationships

  • Father
  • Mother
  • Son
  • Daughter
  • Grandson
  • Granddaughter
  • Niece
  • Nephew
  • Aunt
  • Uncle
  • Cousin

Additional Details: If you were photographing seniors you would want to tag the senior with the name of the school and the year. For example, Doe High School 2011.

Wedding Photographer Relationships

  • Marriage officiant
    • The person who officiates at the wedding
  • Bride
    • A woman about to be married or newly wed.
  • Groom (or Bridegroom)
    • A man about to be married or newly wed.
  • Maid (Matron or Man) of Honor
    • A person, usually someone very close of the bride, who will assist them in the wedding.
  • Best Man, Women or Person
    • A person, usually someone very close to the groom, who will assist them in the wedding.
  • Bridesmaid, honor attendants, or bridesman
    • The female attendants to a bride. Males in this role may be called honor attendants or sometimes bridesmen.
  • Groomsman or Ushers
    • The attendants, usually male, to a bridegroom in a wedding ceremony. Female attendants, such as a sister of the groom, are typically called honor attendants.
  • Page
    • Young attendants who attend to the wedding. Often times they will help carry the bride’s train.
  • Ring Bearer
    • In a formal wedding, the ring bearer is a special page who carries the rings down the aisle.
  • Coin Bearer
    • The coin bearer is special page who marches on the wedding aisle to bring the wedding coins.
  • Flower Girl/Child
    • In some traditions, one or more children carry bouquets or drop rose petals in front of the bride in the wedding procession.
  • Junior Bridesmaid
    • A bridesmaid who is too old for a page but too young for the regular bridesmaid duties.
  • Junior Groomsman
    • A groomsman who is too old for a page but too young for the regular groomsman duties.

Basic Pet Photographer

  • Owner
  • Pet

Additional Details: In this situation you would use tags to track the pets.

Advanced Pet Photographer

  1. Owner (Women)
  2. Owner (Man)
  3. Dog
  4. Cat
  5. Horse
  6. Etc
