How To Create Or Edit An Album

Overview

This tutorial will provide an explanation of how to create or edit an album in the CloudProofing as well as the meaning of the different album fields.

Open CloudProofing Manager

  1. Click the Cloud Services component
  2. Select the CloudProofing tab
  3. Click the Manage Proofing button
  4. Click the Manage CloudProofing 3.0 button

Create New Album

There are several steps involved in creating a new CloudProofing album.  Use the steps below starting from the CloudProofing manage window to create a new album.

  1. Click the New Album button
    1. Enter the desired album information and associate the album with an event
    2. Click the "Save" button in the bottom right corner
  2. Upload Images and Music Window
    1. Selected the desired optimization size. Large is usually a good size
    2. Import the desired images by clicking on the "upload images" tab and click on the "import images" button in the top left
    3. Import music if desired
    4. After you are done click on the save button in the bottom left
    5. Wait while StudioCloud resizes, watermarks, and uploads the images and music
    6. When it is done click on the save button in the bottom left
  3. Select Album Thumbnail Window
    1. Select the desired thumbnail by clicking the "Select Image" button on the left side
    2. Click the Save button on the bottom right when you are done

Edit Album

In the Edit Album window you can updated the basic album information, change the event that is attached to it, manage the images and music, and view the saved Album Favorites.  Instructions on how to edit the album are below.

  1. Open the CloudProofing manager using the instructions above
  2. Find the album you want to edit
  3. Click the edit icon and make the necessary changes
  4. Click the Save button when you are done editing

Album Information

  • Album Information
    • Field: Album Name
      • Usage: This is the name of the album. This name also appears in the public list of albums.
    • Field: Expiration Date
      • Usage: This is the date when the album has expired. Once the album has expired clients may not access it. You may change the expiration date at any time. If you change the expiration date to a date in the future after the album has expired it will no longer be expired and clients will be able to access it.
  • Album Produts, Services, and Packages
    • Field: Price List
      • Usage: This is the price list that will be used for the album
  • Purchasing Options
    • Field: Offer In-Studio Payment Option
    • Field: Offer Pay By Credit Card Payment Option
      • Usage: The Offer Pay by Credit Card Payment Option will give clients the ability to pay for their purchase by credit card.
    • Field: Process Credit Cards Using Cayan merchant account
      • Usage: This option allows for customers to pay for their purchase using Cayan merchant account
    • Field: Process Credit Cards Using PayPal
      • Usage: This option allows for customers to pay for their purchase using PayPal
    • Field: PayPal Account Email
      • Usage: This is the PayPal email where the money will be deposited
    • Field: Sample PayPal Landing Page
      • Usage: This is a sample of the landing page 
  • Tax Options
    • Field: Tax Profiles
      • Usage: These are the saved tax profiles that you created in StudioCloud
    • Field: Tax 1,2,3
      • Usage: These are the tax values that will be used in the CloudProofing
  • Shipping Options
    • Field: Offer In-Studio Pickup
      • Usage: If this option is enabled the client will have an option to select in-Studio Pickup.
    • Field: Offer Flat Rate Shipping
      • Usage: If this option is enabled the client will have an option to select flat rate shipping.
  • Album Public List Options
    • Field: Include Album In Your Public List of Albums
      • Usage: If this option is selected the album will be included in your public list of albums.
  • Album Password
    • Field: Password Protect Album
      • Usage: This will require that a password be entered before the client can view the albums
  • Album View Options
    • Field: Show Album Slideshow
      • Usage: If this option is selected the album will have a slideshow
    • Field: Show Album Images and thumbnails
      • Usage: If this option is selected the album will let the client browse thumbnails
    • Field: Show Album Products and Checkout
      • Usage: If this option is selected the album will let the client checkout
  • Album Favorite Options
    • Field: Show Manage Favorites
      • Usage: If this option is selected the client will be able to save their favorites for later viewing
  • Image Reflection Options
    • Field: Show Images Without a Reflection
      • Usage: If this option is selected the images will not have a reflection
    • Field: Show Images With Reflection
      • Usage: If this option is selected the images in the slide show and thumbnails will have a reflection

Event Information

The event information allows you to select an existing event or create a new one. An album has to be linked to an event.

Action Information

If you are editing an album the Action tab is available and contains the following options:

  • Upload Images and Music
    • Usage: This is used to upload additional images and music to the album
  • Manage Images and Music
    • Usage: This is used to organize and delete images and music from the album
  • Manage Album Thumbnail
    • Usage: this is used to assign a new image to be the album thumbnail
  • View Visitor Statistics
    • Usage: This is used to view the visitor statistics
  • View Album In CloudProofing
    • Usage: This is used to view the album in a browser
  • Send Email Invites
    • Usage: this is used to send email invites to clients contain a link to their album
