StudioCloud Storage and Security

StudioCloud recognizes that information storage and security is a paramount concern for all users.  This tutorial provides a breakdown of security measures that StudioCloud has in place.

Physical Location

Your StudioCloud information is not only stored on each of your computers but also on StudioCloud's servers.  Here is some additional information about StudioCloud's servers and the security that is employed.

  • Certification - Our servers are housed in state-of-the art secured datacenters with SAS 70 Type II certification. This certification provides outside affirmation that has established adequate internal controls and that those controls are operating efficiently.
  • Physical Security - The data centers are housed in nondescript facilities, and critical facilities have extensive setback and military grade perimeter control beams as well as other natural boundary protection.  Physical access is strictly controlled both at the perimeter and at building ingress points by professional security staff utilizing video surveillance, state of the art intrusion detection systems, and other electronic means.
  • Backups - All customer data is backed up every 2 hours and stored in multiple physical locations which have the same security levels.
  • Connection to Servers - All communications to and from the data center, are encrypted with full industry standard 128-bit SSL security.
