How to Import Your Calendar from a CSV File*

Overview

StudioCloud allows several ways of importing calendar information including a CSV file. The instructions below will explain how to import calendar information from a CSV file. Please note, importing calendar information from CSV is limited to the name, number, and notes for the event along with the start and end time.  Information like clients or calendar type cannot be imported via this method.

How to Import Your Calendar from a CSV File

  1. Go to the Calendar component
  2. Select the Settings tab
  3. Click the Import Calendar button
  4. Click the Import Options button
  5. Click the Import Calendar option
  6. In the Import Events window click the Import Options menu
  7. Click the Import from CSV (Comma Separated) option
  8. Find and select the file you want to import
  9. Click the Open button
    1. This will populate the table with the information available
  10. To match existing clients refer to the "Matching Clients With Sessions/Events" header below
  11. Once you have verified the information click the Save button

CSV File Column Headers Format

If you are importing a generic CSV file with event data then your CSV should have the following format to import correctly

  • Column 1: Session/Event Name
  • Column 2: Session/Event Number
  • Column 3: Client First Name
  • Column 4: Client Last Name
  • Column 5: Start Date(MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Column 6: Start Time (H:M AM/PM)
  • Column 7: End Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Column 8: End Time (H:M AM/PM)
  • Column 9: Notes

Matching Existing Clients With Sessions

To match existing clients with sessions you will need to add the sessions to the table and then do the following steps.

  1. Select the events that you want to match clients for or use the Select All menu option in the Group Operations menu
  2. Click on the Group Operations menu
  3. Click on the Match Clients Names With Existing Clients menu option
