How to Access The Calendar Settings

  1. Go to the Calendar component
  2. Click the Settings tab
  3. Click the Manage Calendar Settings button

How to Customize the Event Name Based On The Calendar Type

The "Populate Event Name With Calendar Type Info" option let you decide what information you want populated in the event name field

  • Insert Calendar Type or Calendar Sub-Type
    • This option will populate the event name with the calendar type if only the calendar type is selected. If the calendar sub-type is selected then only the calendar sub-type name will be populated in the event name.
  • Insert Calendar Type and Calendar Sub-Type
    • This option will populate only the calendar type name in the event name field if that is the only option selected. If the calendar sub-type option is selected then both the calendar type name and the calendar sub-type name will be populated in the event name field.

How to Customize the Event Name Based On Client Info

The "Populating Event Name With Client Info" option let you decide what client information you want populated in the event name field

  • Insert Client Name
    • This option will only insert the client's name into the event name
  • Insert Client Name and Business NAme
    • This option will insert both the client's name and the business name into the event name field
  • Insert Business Name
    • This option will only insert the business name into the event name field

How to Append Client Information to the Event Notes Field

The "Populating Event Notes With Client Info" option lets you append client information to the event notes. This information is shared with third party calendar systems so you can see the client information in the third party calendar system. In addition, it can be viewed on the StudioCloud calendar or by using a tooltip on the StudioCloud calendar. 

The following client fields are supported being appended to the event notes:

  • Insert Business Name
  • Insert Client Name
  • Insert Client Cell Phone
  • Insert Client Home Phone
  • Insert Client Work Phone
  • Insert Client Address
  • Insert Client Email Address

How to Customize the "Show Calendar Fields" field

The "Show Calendar Fields" option lets you show or hide different fields from the client section of the new or edit session window. 

The following fields are supported:

  • Show Attendance Field
    • The attendance option lets you track whether or not the client attended the session or event.
  • Show Business Field
    • The business field lets you view the clients business name.
  • Show Event Size Field
    • The event size field lets you put a max limit on the number of clients that can be part of a session or event. This option does not apply to the CloudBooking.
  • Show Event Relationship Field
    • This option adds a button to the client fields so that you can add additional clients that have a relationship with a specific booked client.

How to Automatically Set The End Time Based On The Calendar Type

The "Enable Auto-Select Default Time Frame For Calendar" option automatically sets the end time based on the Calendar Type duration.

How to Customize Auto Tagging

The "Auto Tagging Events" option lets you decide how you want an event to automatically be tagged. This option only applies if the client has a tag when the client is booked or if the calendar type has a tag.

  • Tag Using Calendar Types and Clients. Priority Types
    • This option first assigns a tag based on the calendar type and then, if the calendar type doesn't have a tag, it assigns a tag based on the client.
  • Tag Using Calendar Types and Clients. Priority Clients
    • This option first assigns a tag based on the client and then, if the client doesn't have a tag, it assigns the tag based on the calendar type.
  • Only Tag Using Calendar Type
    • This option assigns a tag based on the calendar type
  • Only Tag Using Clients
    • This option assigns a tag based on the client

How to Enable Or Disable Calendar Drag and Drop Settings

Some StudioCloud users do not want to use the drag and drop or do not want their employees to use it.  This option enables or disables the ability to drag and drop appointments on the calendar. This option is only applicable on a computer by computer basis. If you want it to be applied to everyone in a security role please refer to the security role options.

To enable or disable this option go to the following location.

  1. Go to the Calendar component
  2. Click the Settings tab
  3. Click the Manage Calendar Drag & Drop button
