Importing Tasks From StudioPlus's Desktop Spectra Software

Overview

This tutorial will provide instructions on how to import tasks into StudioCloud from StudioPlus

Export Tasks From StudioPlus

  • Instructions
    • Go to the tasks section in StudioPlus
      • Instructions on exporting out the first file
        • Select the Pending button so only active tasks are displayed.
        • Click the "Column Chooser" button.
        • Click the "Uncheck All" button
        • Select the following columns
          • Client - First Name
          • Client - Last Name
          • Task - Description
          • Task - Due Date
          • Task - Priority
          • Task - Start Date
          • Task - Task Status
          • Task - Task Subject
          • Task - Task Type
        • Click the "Export To Excel Button and save the file with the name "Tasks.xls"
        • If StudioCloud is importing the data for you please email the file to support@studiocloud.com. If you are importing the data yourself continue on to the step below.
        • Instructions on how to convert the excel file to csv
          • Once this file has been exported open it in excel and click the "Save As" button.
          • Change the Save as type: to be CSV (Comma delimited) and save the file

How to Import The Tasks from StudioPlus into StudioCloud

  1. Import the orders csv file into StudioCloud
    1. Open and login to StudioCloud
    2. Go to the Projects Component
    3. Go to the Projects/Orders tab
    4. Click the Import Options followed by the Import Projects/Orders
    5. In the Import Projects/Orders window click on Import Options and click the Import from StudioPlus file option
    6. Select the tasks csv file
    7. Click Open
    8. Verify the information is accurate and in the correct columns then click the Save button
