How to Use CloudAlerts for Birthday, Anniversary, and Custom Date Type Messages

Overview

This tutorial will explain how to setup StudioCloud birthday, anniversary, or custom date type emails and sms text messages.

How to Use CloudAlerts as Birthday, Anniversary, or Custom Date Type Emails

  1. Go to the Cloud Services component
  2. Click on the CloudAlerts tab
  3. Click the Manage CloudAlert Emails button
  4. Click the New CloudAlert Email button
  5. Enter a name for this CloudAlert
    1. For example, the name could be sometime like "Birthday Email" or "Anniversary Email"
  6. Select either Birthday CloudAlertAnniversary CloudAlert, or Date Type CloudAlert
    1. If the Date Type CloudAlert option is selected then select the desired date type in the Select Date Type combo box
  7. Click the New Template button to create a new email template or click the Select Template button to select an already existing email template
  8. Click the desired check boxes to send emails to Customer(s) and Custom
    1. The Custom option allows you to enter an email address that will always receive the email address when this CloudAlert is triggered
  9. Click the Save button to save the CloudAlert

  4. Click the New CloudAlert Text Message button
  5. Enter a name for this CloudAlert
    1. For example, the name could be sometime like "Birthday Text Message" or "Anniversary Text Message"
  6. Select either Birthday CloudAlertAnniversary CloudAlert, or Date Type CloudAlert
    1. If the Date Type CloudAlert option is selected then select the desired date type in the Select Date Type combo box
  7. Click the New Template button to create a new email template or click the Select Template button to select an already existing email template
  8. Click the desired check boxes to send emails to Customer(s) and Custom
    1. The Custom option allows you to enter an email address that will always receive the email address when this CloudAlert is triggered
  9. Click the Save button to save the CloudAlert
