What are Ordered Items and What is an Order?

Ordered items are the individual products, services, and packages that are in an invoice.

An order is the entire group of ordered items in the invoice that need to be delivered to a client.

    How to Setup Order Tracking

    StudioCloud uses order pipelines to track the status of the entire order.


    Protip: A default order pipeline can be set so that every new invoice is automatically assigned an order pipeline.

    How to Setup Ordered Item Tracking

    StudioCloud uses ordered items pipelines to track the status of the entire order.

    Protip #1: A default ordered item pipeline can be set so that every product, service or package that is added to an invoice is automatically assigned an ordered item pipeline

    Protip #2: A default ordered item pipeline can also be setup for a specific product, service or package

    How to Track the Status of the Entire Order

    The status of an invoice can be tracked from any of the following locations:

    • In the new invoice window
    • In the edit Invoice window
    • In the point of sale invoices/estimates/quotes table
      • Click on the Point of Sale component
      • Click on the Point of Sale tab
      • Click on the Invoices/Estimates/Quotes menu bar button
      • Make sure the Invoice Pipeline column is visible
    • In the order tracking table
      • Click on the Point of Sale component
      • Click on the Order Tracking tab
      • Click on the All Invoice Pipelines menu bar button
    • On the overview Page pipeline widget
      • Click on the Overview component
      • Refer to the All Pipelines Stages widget
    • On the overview Page All Pipelines component
      • Click on the Overview component
      • Click on the All Pipelines component
    • On the overview Page Pipelines Flow component
      • Click on the Overview component
      • Click on the Pipelines Flow component

    How to Track the Status of Individual Items In An Order

    The status of an invoice can be tracked from any of the following locations:

    • In the new and edit invoice window
    • In the order tracking table
      • Click on the Point of Sale component
      • Click on the Order Tracking tab
      • Click on the Ordered Item Pipelines menu bar button
    • On the overview Page Pipelines Flow component
      • Click on the Overview component
      • Click on the Pipelines Flow component

    Here is an Example of an Invoice Pipeline

    An example invoice pipeline could be the following

    • Order In Progress
    • Awaiting Customer Pickup
    • Order Shipped To Customer
    • Order Complete

    Here is an Example of an Ordered Item Pipeline

    An example ordered item pipeline for a 8x10 photo could be the following

    • Send To Print Lab
    • At Print Lab
    • Received From Print Lab
