Logging in With A Managed User


This article explains how to resolve the issues with logging in as a managed user on a Mac


With Mac computers, there are three user account settings: 

  • Administrator Accounts
  • Standard Accounts
  • Managed Accounts

A managed account is different from both an administrator and standard account in that all activity is monitored through a proxy or filter. This proxy or filter is used regardless of whether parental controls are enabled or not. StudioCloud encrypts the data between StudioCloud's desktop application and StudioCloud's servers. The managed account's proxy/filter breaks this encryption and, as such, you will not be able to login to StudioCloud when you are logged in as a managed account. To fix this issue, simply change your account to an Administrator or Standard Account and log out. Once you log back in, the problem will be resolved.
