How to do a Restore from the Latest Snapshot

Overview

This tutorial explains how to update your StudioCloud desktop software to have all of the latest information that is in the cloud

What is a Snapshot

This process communicates directly with StudioCloud servers but instead of downloading information one chunk it a time it will wait until a full backup is ready in the cloud and then download and use that.  This process can take anywhere from 1 minute to 30+ minutes depending on the amount of data you have.  This is the same process that is used the first time you login to your account on a new computer.  We don't recommend doing this process unless instructed to do so by our support team as most users will not need to manually do a restore from the latest snapshot.

Important: This process will download a brand new backup from our server and will replace the data currently on your computer with this backup.  If you are experiencing syncing problems please make sure you contact the StudioCloud team before doing this restore.
