How to Setup a New Computer with an Existing StudioCloud Account

When you install StudioCloud on a new computer and login for the first time you will need to download all of the information that has been saved for your account.  By default StudioCloud will load your data via a snapshot from our server.  This is the fastest way to load the data for most accounts.  Please see the steps below for help doing this.

  1. Install StudioCloud on your new computer using the steps below
    1. Go to http://studiocloud.com/index-2.html
    2. Skip Step 1 and go straight to Step 2
    3. Start with Step 2 Option A and if you experience problems with that then go to Step 2 Option B
  2. Start the StudioCloud program and login.  This will load your data via the snapshot.

How to Setup a New Computer with a Large Existing StudioCloud Account

When you install StudioCloud on a new computer and login for the first time you will need to download all of the information that has been saved for your account.  Depending on how much data you have in your account this can take a very long time.  As a result, the instructions below will take you through some steps we recommend to get up and running on a new computer more quickly if your account contains a significant amount of data.

  1. Backup your current computer using the instructions How to Backup and Restore StudioCloud using CloudStorage under the heading How to Backup your StudioCloud Information to CloudStorage
  2. Install StudioCloud on your new computer using the steps below
    1. Go to http://studiocloud.com/index-2.html
    2. Skip Step 1 and go straight to Step 2
    3. Start with Step 2 Option A and if you experience problems with that then go to Step 2 Option B
  3. Restore the backup from CloudStorage using the instructions How to Backup and Restore StudioCloud using CloudStorage under the heading How to Restore your StudioCloud Information from CloudStorage in the Desktop Software
  4. Once the restore is complete log back in to the program and you should be ready to go
