How to Setup Client Lead Tracking*

Overview

Many businesses need to track customers that are considering whether to purchase services or products. This tutorial provides instructions on how to setup StudioCloud to tracking those potential clients.


Client Terms

  • Client
    • A client is considered a paying customer or a customer that is scheduled to be a paying customer
  • Prospective Client
    • A prospective client is considered a customer who could become a paying client in the long term but is not actively making the decision of whether to purchase or schedule
  • Lead
    • A lead is considered a customer who is actively being worked with to purchase or schedule

How to Setup Client Pipelines

In order to track leads one or more client pipelines must be created.

Note: You can setup StudioCloud to automatically assign a client pipeline to a new lead by selecting a client pipeline as the default lead pipeline.

How to Assign a Client Pipeline to a New Client

To assign a client pipeline to a new client do the following:

  1. Create a new client
    1. Click here for a tutorial on how to create a new client
  2. Click the Select Pipeline button as displayed in the image below.
  3. Select the desired client pipeline by clicking the Select Pipeline button and then selecting the desired pipeline in the pipeline window.

How to View/Edit the Current Pipeline Stage for a Single Client

To change the pipeline stage associated with a client do the following:

  1. Edit the desired client

  2. The current pipeline stage will be displayed in the button next to the word Pipeline. To change the pipeline stage click on the button and then selected the desired pipeline.

How to View the Pipeline Stage in the List of Leads

To view the pipeline stage in the list of leads do the following:

  1. Click the Client component
  2. Click the Client tab
  3. Click the Leads menu bar
  4. Click the View Columns menu option
    1. Click the Client Pipeline menu option to enable the column
